First off let me say that the Music is definitely getting better! And Ovatyme’s new song Streets and Avenues had everyone who participated in this weeks listening session’s attention.
Right out the gate, this is an Anthem for Shalimar, FL! Why is that? Because even if you had just the title, that is what Shalimar is all about…Streets and Avenues. Running North/South and East /West…
Even if you aren’t from “Lintown”, you can relate because there are town like Shalimar all over.
The hook itself makes you wanna take a trip to Lintown, and OT’s delivery over the beat is full of energy and commitment to his city.
Sometimes artists tend to get off subject, but this wasn’t one of those cases. I don’t believe I heard any other city mentioned in Okaloosa County.
It’s definitely a dopeboi song, but was written to where anyone with a hustle can relate. We like that!
The last verse seems to be a little fast, which could just be from not lining up properly..but not a huge issue.
One of the Highlights of the song is the mention of DP…who was well know in Lintown. DP was killed in a car accident back in June.
Overall, one of the best submitted!
