Yesterday I spoke with Young Tyme and got my hands on a brand new track called “Im Still (doing my thang)”.
We haven’t heard from Young Tyme in quite a while. It wasn’t that long ago that he was a major player in all the concerts that went on in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
If you haven’t ever heard of Tyme, you might recognize his name from the recent beef going on between J-Riv and Snappa. In the interviews done by Mike Real, Tyme’s name has been brought up on a few occasions in regards to his skills on the mic.
Over the last couple years, his name has been constantly mentioned in the Top Okaloosa Artists. Even the well-known Ducey Trayz has commended Tyme.
The song “I’m Still” couldn’t have been a better choice. Although it is not a solo song, it does feature some artists that Tyme is working with on a regular basis: Luv B and Filthy. The last few song snippets Tyme sent over featured those two.
But the song is a reminder to all the people in Okaloosa County, and surrounding areas, that Tyme hasn’t gone anywhere. Like I said, most of the Fort Walton Beach readers remember Tyme extremely well from his concerts at Barleys and Cash’s.
The last part of his verse where he mentions “Okaloosa Anthem” definitely brought it home. As you may or may not know, that song was one of the few standout songs to come out of this area.
A lot of people has been talking about Young Tyme, so it’s going to be interesting to see what is going to happen next. In the mean time, enjoy his latest song “I’m Still”.
