Yesterday I saw on twitter that OvaTyme was going to be releasing a new song featuring Mixture and Shawt Deezy.
Last last night my phone goes off and I have an email from OvaTyme that included the song.
Now I have known Mixture from some time now, and have featured him on here before. He was also a heavy supporter of the site when we were NightSkewl.com, so I knew he was going hard on it.
I have heard Shawt Deezy too. Mainly from the songs I would get from Mixture.
OT is no stranger to Skewln.com and immediately told me to do a review with all honesty. So I popped it in iTunes and got to listening.
The concept is a good one. As OT describes it, “its bout a girl whos creepin with all of us”. I have to admit, it’s a good spin on the traditional “slow” song.
I forgot to ask who was on the hook, but it’s not important because all three actually carry the song. A lot of times on slow songs the hook overpowers the rappers, and that is all you want to hear. I’m happy to say that this is not the case…
It’s a good track that anyone can ride to, and will be released on OvaTyme’s new mixtape Almost Famous vol1. We will have more details on that at some later time…
The amount of collaboration around the 850 area is going beyond certain Counties. It’s nice to see artists from central and east 850 coming together to create a nice track.
