When the music first came on I was thinking to myself this is going to be a fire ass mixtape…. Seconds later I knew that thought was a little far fetch. Most mixtape I’m not feeling I normally turn it off after the half way mark, because if you haven’t impressed me by then there’s no hope.
I said time and time again I don’t like writing negative reviews, because of the simple fact I feel it’s not worth the time. There’s nothing fun or exciting about crushing someone’s dreams.
This mixtape is a little different, although, I wasn’t feeling the actual mixtape I see the potential in the artists. Unlike times in the past I managed to finish listening to the entire mixtape even though I wasn’t feeling it.
The beat selection was on point. Whoever picked the beats did a good ass job, but the problem with that statement is the artist may not be ready for beats of that caliber. Some of the hooks on the project were actually pretty good, and can be even better with a little tweaking.
The main problem I had with the project was the lyrics. The lyrics weren’t any good. It’s as simple as that. The lyrics were basic to say the least, but these are things that can be fixed over time and with lots of practice. No rapper is dope the first day he starts.
One important thing artists should do is go outside their circle of friends to get an honest opinion of their music. Friends tin to sugar coat things or dick ride when the truth needs to be told to save their friend from future embarrassment. Unless you have blunt friends, you are being setup to be humiliated, so do yourself a favor and seek outside your normal everyday circle.

Aye guys. I really appreciate you reviewing the tape. And to be honest. Your right, and after looking back, lyrics were basic. But I’m still pretty proud of a five out of 10 rating especially for a first real tape. But I honestly must say that I’m glad you see potential and hopefully from here, we only get better. Thanks again.
