Soundcloud and Tumblr have just announced their newest feature that allows users to bring their music to their Tumblr blogs.
There are a lot of artists that we feature on Skewln.com that use Tumblr everyday for posting new freestyles and tracks. For those users, this is a dope new feature.
Through the use of the Soundcloud iPhone or Android app, Soundcloud users can record and share their sounds on Tumblr. Another cool feature is that you can auto-publish new tracks to your Tumblr blog.
Here is a breakdown of everything:
- Record and share to Tumblr: Record any audio on-the-fly with their iPhone and Android apps and share your recordings directly on your Tumblr blog.
- Auto-publish your new sounds and favorites: In your SoundCloud advanced settings, you can choose to automatically push favorites and new sounds you created to your Tumblr blog.
- Easy sharing: Post to Tumblr by pushing the Share button on SoundCloud or grab the url and post it as an external source on Tumblr Audio posts.
- Search SoundCloud on Tumblr: When creating an audio post, you can now search, preview and post audio from SoundCloud to Tumblr.
And if all that wasn’t dope enough, Tumblr said on their blog that “you can post an unlimited number of SoundCloud tracks every day”. Posting tracks will also pull in the track info, album art, and play count, to display perfectly in your theme.
