Since I first wrote about RootMusic’s dope facebook app, BandPage, I have seen a ton of indie artists start using it to show off their music.
Now, RootMusic allows you take it one step further and gives you the ability to SELL from your Facebook page!
RootMusic teamed up with Topspin to allow artists to begin selling downloads, merchandise, and even tickets straight from the BandPage app.
In order to start using this feature, you will need both a Topspin account and RootMusic account. You will login to your Topspin account and head over to your account settings (http://app.topspin.net/account/settings/).
Set your “Facebook Website” to your Artist Page on Facebook (ex: http://facebook.com/beastieboys).
Then, make a note of your API email address and key from your Topspin Account Profile (http://app.topspin.net/account/profile/).
Next step is to login to RootMusic so you can edit the page you want. On the Topspin blog, they make it very clear that if you set up your Facebook URL properly, you should now see a new button next to “Photos” and “Videos” called… “Store”.
Once you click on “Store” you will be prompted to enter in your API email address and key. Once you enter this info in your store should now appear. You can begin to choose what items you want to include on your Facebook Page.
