That’s huge considering they announced their 3 million user milestone back in February.
SoundCloud’s platform is attractive to users because of how easy it is to get started. It’s not a bulky platform that takes forever to load, and they don’t overload you with a bunch of useless features. Their music widgets are highly recognizable (we are thinking of using SoundCloud’s API on Skewln) across the web, and allow artists to share their tracks anywhere.
Not to mention that the company has both iPhone and Android apps. I have the Android app hooked up on my DROID 2, so whenever someone submits a track, I can listen to it on the go.
Check out the infographic SoundCloud posted about the company’s history. Hover over the image to get more details, and listen to the first track on SoundCloud.
