Chicago native, Rockie Fresh, has announced that his upcoming mixtape, “The Otherside Redux”, is scheduled to be released on July 27th.
Since being released on May 31, Rockie’s “Sofa King Cole [Redux]“ video has gained over 13,000 views, and will be on the mixtape as well.
Rock the Vote, whose mission is to “engage and build political power for young people in our country”, has featured Rockie as the Rock The Vote Artist.
In the interview, Rockie discusses his first live performance, what he would be doing if he was not a musician, and what artist he would like to work with, dead or alive.
The interview goes on to ask more focused questions on subjects such as, “What social cause is closest to your heart?” and “What does the right to vote mean to you?”
While on the topic of the “right vote”, Rockie answered with, “It means that you’re involved in impacting a country or the world itself. We vote when we believe in something.”
