I was recently asked if I had heard this new song that was posted on WorldStarHipHop. The answer was a quick “No!”.
Not because I do not visit WSHH, but because I do not listen to any of the music on WorldStar. Hell, by the time I see it on WSHH, chances are that I have already heard the song on another mainstream hip hop site.
I began to discuss WSHH with Mike Real, and a few other hip hop junkies. I asked them if they visited the site often and what they actually went there to find.
Mike Real rarely goes to WSHH, but will occasionally give the video site a few page views. On the other hand, the rest of the hip hop junkies that I was talking with came to same conclusion:
They visit WorldStarHipHop for the Epic Fail and Fight Videos.
Yep, that’s right! No music, just epic fails and people throwing hands. I have to admit that I have seen more fight videos on WSHH than music videos or even freestyle videos.
I mean think about it: There are more fight videos where people shout out, “You’re on WorldStar…say what’s up to WorldStar”…while they are right in the middle of getting their head cracked.
So I have to ask: Do you actually go to WSHH for the music? If not, what kind of videos do you go to WorldStarHipHop to find?
